With every experience, I have cultivated a deeper understanding of the intricacies involved in each field. I have navigated through various challenges that have shaped my perspective and honed my skills, aligning them with my passion and purpose.
Ultimately, these experiences have afforded me the opportunity to contribute significantly to my community while forging meaningful connections along the way.
Family
In February 2021, I married my beautiful wife Sharon Rutakirwa, and we have been fortunate to welcome two wonderful children, Josiah and Talia. The significance of family comes right after faith, according to the 4F model.
I learned about the 4F model in October 2012 from my mentor at that time, Bishop Endmond Kizito. The 4Fs indicate the priority order of life to maintain balance among various aspects, for example elevating the 4th F over the 2nd F can lead to irreversible consequences, if they can indeed be reversed at all.
Here is what the Fs represent;
1. Faith - Your connection with your creator or spiritual beliefs.
2. Family - Your relatives and your method of classifying members of this institution.
3. Finances - The structures established for financial stability and security.
4. Friends - The friendships and influential people in your life.
Intellectual History
Thinking developed in the open
The author began writing to clarify problems encountered while building companies — not merely to publish, but rather to think deeply and critically about the various challenges faced in the business landscape.
Over time, that habit evolved into a substantial body of work that now spans multiple domains, including business strategy, organizational behavior, and the intricate discipline of decision-making under uncertainty.
This exploration not only sheds light on the complexities of running a successful enterprise but also provides valuable insights that can guide future entrepreneurs and leaders in navigating their own paths amidst the unpredictability of the market.
Across 40 books, 28 companies and 7 organisations founded, and years of direct advisory work, a single through-line holds: rigorous diagnosis before any prescription. The work that endures is the work that started with an honest question.
Early career positions in finance and operations provided the empirical base. A turn toward writing in the mid-career years was not a departure — it was the same analytical work, made public and made permanent.
