MONTHLY STATEMENTS

Challenges are not only the breakfast of champions; they lay the very foundation upon which greatness is built. Obstacles serve as their lunch, pushing them to navigate difficulties with skill and determination, while temptations can act as their supper, testing their resolve and commitment to their paths. Fear, that all-too-familiar foe, becomes their midday snack, something they encounter frequently, one that they learn to manage with wisdom. Faith, meanwhile, symbolizes the essential water that nourishes their spirits, while persistence represents their daily exercise, the routine that fortifies their will. Coaching and mentorship are like their reading and meditation, providing insights and strategies to broaden their horizons and sharpen their focus, and tact emerges as the delicious fruits that sweeten the relentless journey. Strategy, much like morning coffee, fuels their ambitions, while creativity serves as the intoxicating whiskey or wine for those who revel in the joys of life and artistry.
Passion and enthusiasm, vibrant and alive, are the outfits they wear with pride, love acts as their ever-reliable smartphone, connecting them to their purpose, and victory is undoubtedly the luxurious car they steer through the myriad roads of life. More often than not, they find themselves residing in the grand mansion or villa of fulfillment and innovation, a space cultivated through continuous effort and the right mindset. Yet, this idyllic existence is contingent upon not neglecting their midday snack, a reminder to hydrate with plenty of water, consume fruits, adhere to an exercise regimen, and indulge in generous doses of uplifting coffee; and of course, they consistently keep a great coach or mentor by their side for guidance and encouragement. Because when they find they no longer crave their midday snack, it inevitably means they haven't toiled hard enough to feel the pangs of hunger well before the day’s halfway mark. Additionally, it’s vital to understand there are those who take the easy route, engrossed in nicotine, out of budget luxury via private jets, the allure of energy drinks, or perhaps they even allocate that particular day to leisurely vacations or restful breaks, among other distractions.
This entire journey of transformation and success reminds me deeply of a very poignant reflection from a friend I respect immensely. He once said, 'Where there is Sulphur and Iron, Gold has to exist.' That’s a fundamental truth in the field of mining, illustrating how something precious can emerge from the depths of adversity. Likewise, in the grand tapestry of life, where there are challenges accompanied by unwavering persistence, one can naturally anticipate the presence of success. Reflecting on this, my justice coach Alison Kantarama often poses an intriguing question: 'Why do some people expect the correct things to be surprising?' This inquiry opens up a dialogue about expectations and reality. It serves as a reminder that people evolve at their own pace, hitting their primes at various ages, and that there is unequivocally no nobility in being trapped in poverty.
Mark Twain, whose insights have transcended generations, once wrote, 'The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.' His profound reflections further emphasize, 'Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover.' These words carry immense weight, especially when considering the historical context in which he penned them, as they inspire action and audacity. His legacy has certainly touched many individuals, including the talented Jimmy Spithill, who quite correctly observed, 'Rarely have I seen a situation where doing less than the other guy is a good strategy.' Thus, understanding your purpose—the reason you were born—constitutes a crucial element of a fulfilling life, acting upon it today requires decisive action, and risking it all is paramount to truly living. But one must also ponder the notion of destruction and limitations: the insightful words of Ratan Tata resonate deeply here, 'No one can destroy iron but its own rust can. Likewise, no one can destroy a person but his own mindset can.'
Just like my wise mentor always articulates, 'Dreams are what you see with your eyes closed, vision with your eyes open.' This profound distinction calls for a blend of imagination and tangible vision in the pursuit of one’s life goals.
As we step deeper into this promising month, I genuinely wish you an exceptionally fulfilling and successful May 2015, filled with opportunities and achievements that propel you towards your dreams.
