FOREWORD

My Thoughts about love

When people think of love, it’s the feelings one develops for some one. There are so many mysterious ways people fall in love. It could be beauty, intellect, concern/ care one gives, respect, goodwill towards a person, I mean there is always that something/ aspect that will attract you to that person.

Love is an embodiment of so many virtues and values. It stems from passion, strong bond, mutual care and its daring. Albeit, it could be deceptive in the sense that, some hearts are too mean that they may choose lust over true love.

What love should be like

Love transcends and triumphs over pettiness. It should be with simplicity over materialism. A sarcastic question usually asked is, ‘Would you choose to always smile sited on a bicycle or cry in a Mercedes Benz?’. This literally means, one should seek happiness in their life than materialism that would never give you peace of heart and mind for a genuine smile is better than a sorrowful heart.

Love should build a strong bond that would culminate into growing old with each other. If two souls understand each other, this could be a corner stone for happy days as each sees the other age gracefully, at least an example of our fore fathers.

Love means standing with someone in their difficult times, support of one another is essential. Partners ought to chip in in terms of moral, financial and any material gain.

Love should be patient, partners ought to support each other’s goals to see them succeed, if one of the partners does not support the other in their ambitions, it affects their esteem. Patience can also mean trust in one to make a success in their life. A less hardworking/ poor man may not empower a good relationship. But if he shows hard work then the other partner should stand by them to make material gain as this helps both for a sustained relationship and its longevity. 

My recommendations

Let love be given a chance if it weighs some meaning. If lovers are young, they ought to see the bigger picture ahead since success is built over time.
Forgiveness in love is a strong attribute towards its continuity.

A better understanding in a relationship grants the best experience. This particularly focuses on long distance relationships for as long the ‘chemistry’ is genuine.

A summary of my experience

I have ever been heartbroken so the experience taught me that its mean and I shouldn’t let someone go through the same. It has also opened my eyes on the realities of childish love. Something mature at least may lead to marriage. I would never date someone conceived to be young in thoughts, and ambitions.

My thoughts on how a man should treat a woman and vice versa. Basically support (both financial and moral) whenever need arises. For long distances relationships, communication sustains and increases intimacy in love.
Surprises play a huge role. Petty or little things may mean quite a lot. Once in a while, those in a relationship should give to each other if they can build a strong bond.

Above all, loving one’s family.
